Making a AK-47

Hi Everyone!

First forum post here, I've done some rough work on modeling a AK-47 and I was wondering what the next best course of action would be.

I've got the outline of the gun and a good amount of the details cut out with the CV Curve Tool.  I lofted those lines.

I tried using the Fill Holes Tool and using the surfaces to cut into a plane/square using the Boolean actions, but neither of them worked.

Below is a Google Drive link to what I've got started, feel free to mess with it!  If you check the layers I have a reference plane.

Thanks!

You are doing this in the worst workflow possible, Try to start a new rifle with a cube..., that's how most professionals do modeling.

This way will only give you headaches...there's tons of Gun tutorials all over, study them a bit more.
