Importing OBJ, got nothing

Hey all,

  I've already googled this but I'm not finding a good answer for this particular issue.

I'm trying to import a VERY simple polygon .obj into my maya file (exported from maya).  I complete the import and the geo shows up in the outliner, but in the viewport all i get is that infinitely small point.  The scale doesn't affect it, and according to my transform node the geo is sitting at world center, but I see nothing.  No shader issue, no transform issue.  any leads?

thanks!

Jerry

Go to the attribute editor for the shape node, and under Object Display make sure Visibility is checked. (Not sure why it wouldn't be, but worth a try.)

Also make sure Show->Polygons is enabled in your viewport.

Well, normally I will export this by

1.) Go to the top menu (I don't know what does it call)

2.) Window -> setting/preferences -> plug-in manager

3.) scroll down to objexport.bundle and checks both of them.

4.) try to export and open again with Blender.

I don't know why but exporting again with blender works well with Opengl.

Anyway, I have another way.

Please check that the normal surface is on the right side.

I sometimes export and get a blank space just because the normal doesn't align or rather project off the surface correctly.
