I can't extrude using curve and face

I have done this many times before, on other computers and it works perfectly, I know the basics. Here I attach a photo of how it looks, it is as if I made a normal extrude to a polygon but with the faces already stretched. I have Maya 2020, on a MacBook. Thanks for your time.

It should work if you first select the polygon then the curve before extusion.

Is there a error message ?

I don't get any error messages 😞 now the polygon appears in black

Hi!

Don't change the "local" selection mode after you selected the face, just select the curve.

Select the curve in the outliner directly.

For a moment I almost started to believe that you could not select the curve directly, because in reality I could not select it, I had to put the curve in smooth, a solution that I saw in another post, but the main problem continues...

Please check your settings for the Extrude,

Extrude Face Options -> Curve Settings (set to "Selected")
