How to move a bridged object with curve?

First off I'd like to call attention to the fact that if you change "select a board" this website deletes everything you've written and uploaded so far.

I bridged two halves of a cube together with a curve, now I wanna move that object with its curve to a different position in the scene so I can edit it there, but I wanna do that without messing everything up. This is what the object looks like:

This is what it looks like after it's moved:

Here is everything I tried so far:

Freezing transformations

Centering pivot

Putting both in a group and moving the group

Selecting all at the same time and moving together

Selecting vertices and moving those away (I can't select the vertices of both objects at the same time)

I don't wanna delete history because I wanna be able to continue modifying the object.

Did you try parenting(edit>parent) or constrain parenting(under Animation>constrain>parent) the curve to object ?

Ah no I didn't, I just put them both in the same group and that didn't work. I never really thought about parenting. I solved it by just doing it again and starting off at the point where I wanted it in the first place. Thanks for the suggestion though, maybe it would've worked.
