How to Maneuver within the Work Space?

I am new to Maya, took an online workshop a couple weeks ago and spent some time last week on a scene. This is my very first Maya project! However, I'm having a problem with scrolling up and down and side to side when I am zoomed in on an object. I know how to use the ALT + mouse buttons. Example: in the attached photo I have zoomed in on an object. How do I scroll to the right and down so that the object appears in the middle of my work space window?

A-ha! It's the ALT + middle dragging up and down and side to side I didn't
know about! I've been using it strictly for zooming in/out! Thank you!!
