I have a problem with facing from Maya to unity import pivot problem.

I set all the pivot setting, like " send to unity "  "game export"  "bake pivot settings"

but when I import it in unity the pivot is not in the correct direction like you know the pivot of a car is fwd. so its pivot is not in the correct direction. I have also correct it in unity like center pivot but nothing happens. I share some images in Maya and in unity .

please help me out. this is very important for everyone because there is no tutorial on YouTube or on any forum.

how does the car goup/parent pivot look?

in general there is not enough to see to troubleshoot your problem. all i can say is: if setup correct in maya it should import correct in unity.

for more help provide more screenshots (including outliner hierarchy, parent transform, channel box) or even better your (zipped) maya file.

You haven't responded to this in sometime, so I guess you found an answer?

For anyone else make sure you Center Pivot (adjust it if need be) , Delete History and Freeze Transformations before you export your model.

One thing to note in Unity you can set your object to 2 pivots, On the toolbar there is Pivot (which is what you pivot is on export) and Center which is the center pivot. If your pivot is wrong, check if your toolbar setting is set to Pivot.

Other then that as sebastion has said check your grouping if you more then one object grouped together on export.

Maya uses a right-handed coordinate system and Unity uses a left handed one, so the pivot orientation won't be exactly the same from Maya to Unity. Looking at the pics it looks like something else might be affecting the pivots though. Hard to tell.

Either way, to correct it in Unity you can create an empty group, parent the model underneath it, and set the pivot however you need by using the empty group as your root object.
