FBX export destroys UVs

Hello community,

I have an issue and I don't know why.

I have been exporting meshes for the last three years without this ever happening and all "solutions" I found online were to different issues.

So I have a mesh and I properly laid out the UVs for it.

And now comes the fun part:
No matter what, whenever I export it as a fbx (either by exporting all, via Game Export or via Export Selected), the UV ends up as this:

When I export the mesh as obj, everything fine. I can paint on it in Mudbox, I can import it into Unity, all great.

But .obj doesn't allow to export the joints, the skin. And Unity obviously can't properly skin my rig to the .obj

I looked at the plugins, the export settings but the only thing I can find is that in the options for fbx export, the "Include texture info" is inactive. But it's greyed out, so I can't even enable it to see if it would help me.

I exported the file on three fundamentally different computers and in two different Maya versions (2016 Student Version and 2016 Professional Version), the result has always been the same as far as I could tell, being that it looks like this:

Anyone got any idea how to solve this?
I need to have this work until next week for a presentation. And sadly, since I am only the guy in the middle of the pipeline, I can't just do the mesh again from scratch, so if it is a Maya issue, I'd love to hear what to do.

Here's the .max file, so you guys can look into it (and yes, there might be a notification about a script editor issue, but that hasn't disturbed all the other fbx exports so far): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8Q9168Hp6fPcWtqNUFycWZfMGM/view?usp=sharing

Hi!

You have 2 UV Sets on your model.

In UV Editor: UV Sets -> ...

In Modeling Menu UV -> UV Set Editor.

Delete the UV Set you don't need ("UVChannel_1").
