In the image below, I made a negative extrusion into the surface of a cylinder, then decided after making other changes, I wanted the face to the right of it to have the same extrusion. Unfortunately when I try to extrude by the same amount, it leaves behind a black artifact wall and the new edges have to be cleaned up and connected manually. Is there an easier way to expand an extrusion to the same depth by the side of a previous extrusion?
