Extrude edge along curve created from edge

Trying to extrude an edge along a curve that was created from an edge .. doesn't work at all ..  though doing it from a fresh CV curve works as expected.. Is there something i'm missing..

you can try one of two things - one you may need to select the curve and (Reverse curve direction) or two you need to rebuild the curve. Most likely it is due to the curve and nothing more.

awww darn.. Well I was trying to use the curve created from edge as a guide to patch a hole where I had to remove some bad geometery .. Is an edge extrude not the best way for this..

Curve was reversed.. works the other way .. still doesn't work to fix that hole I'm trying to but thats another subject

you may have an issue where you are extruding along a curve but your initial extrusion direction is being altered by the normal, look at the channel box and turn normal profile off, that might fix it
