Duplicate special not working

Hi guys, can anybody help with Duplicate special, its not working as it should be, i have Maya 2020, also regular left mouse click not working... im the beginner and still learning, right know im watching tutorial from Pluralsight - Digital Tutors but cannot move forward with that because of my issue... i would be very happy if someone can help me. So from what I understand in your description of the issue, duplicate special and left clicking don't work? 

When stuff that's really crippling like that happens I usually just delete the prefs folder, reopen Maya, create new prefs and see if that fixes the issue. Make sure to backup your old prefs though just in case the issue isn't fixed, because then you can just reapply your old preferences.
