Cursor Switching out of Default Selection Mode

Hi, my cursor keeps turning into this mode without me adjusting any settings. Does anyone know how to prevent this or reset the settings?

Hi,

You didn't say what version of Maya you were using or what platform?

That is the menu you get if you hold down the W key and left-click with the mouse.

To get out of that mode try tapping the W hotkey again.
