Create A Modelling Shoe/Heel

I am trying to figure out how to capture this image into a model. I am still a novice at this so I am asking for possible suggestions on getting this captured. What is the best solution.

This is the image:

I would start by splitting this object into different sections. I personally would split it into 3 sections.
1. Cover for the feed.
2. Sole which needs a bit imagination (you just see it at the front)
3. Heel.

1. I would start with a plane and in an orthographic view. At the end, you can mirror it and refine it.
2. You can start with a cube and extrude it all the way.
3. Start with a cylinder and extrude it and deform it as you like

I have dones this and it doesn't look that great but I tried. I want the front part to be an open toe and I can't seem to get. Can you provide a step by step process of getting it done. It would be appreciated.

Unfortunately the captions aren't as good as I thought but I hope you can read them.

 Model the flat base.

Mirror the finished geometry without merging. And bridge the needed sides.

Tweak a little bit the faces.

 How it can look like.

Hello,

You are really good at this because I am trying to understand how you did it. Is it possible to get more in depth of how its done. The model flat base did you use CV Curve Tool or Polygon Primitives Cube. When I use and try to scale it using the subdivisions the cube turns into a different shape. If I can't do which looks simple to do then I should drop this course but I don't want to give up. I really need help

I would suggest you watch some basic tutorials on how to model in Maya.

Anyways I have started with a plane removed all divisions from it and used the extrude tool to add more geometry. So at the and I moved every vertex by my self.
