Converting XGen Interactive Grooming hair to tubes

is it possible to convert an XGen interactive groom into tubes (keeping the tapering of the xgen attributes).

Thanks for posting! I found this video, which shows how to use the curve to mesh tool to generate mesh files of xgen hai.... Is this what you were looking for? If this is not applicable to your workflow, just let me know and we can keep working on it 🙂

I had seen this vid, but I was hoping this option would be available inside XGen interactive grooming tools (Ornatrix can do it).

Also the "create tube from splines" option is only available in the bonustools, and often the bonustools don't get released

at the same time as a new Maya release, and currently I'm still waiting for my tech department to install it in Maya 2018.

In general I think the bonustools should just be integrated into the Maya core.
