Hi, i'm soon thinking of purchasing a laptop for myself to use on my college course as it is a requirement.

I need this laptop to be able to run programms like maya and unity but i have a low budget and need some help, some of the specs that are recommended are as follows:

- Intel multi-core i5
- Processor of around 2.5GHz
- 4-8gb of ram
- Dedicated graphics
- If possible around £300-£350

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

thanks,

Tom

If you want an i5 and 4gb - 8gb of Ram you'll have to double your budget.

If you want to stick with your budget then you could go for any of these laptops:

http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-CB35-B3340-Chromebook-Celeron-HD-Screen/dp/B00N99FXIS

But I wouldn't be the best for knowing what's the perfect laptop for you. Hopefully you can find something.

It would run Maya but the max polys you would get comfortably would be about 50,000 - 60, 000. It really depends on what you are going to be doing with Maya?

Maya doesn't run on Chromebooks.
