Assigning existing materials list

I would like to know if there is a way to scroll to the top of my materials list?    As per the screenshot there are more materials at the top but I can't see or access them.   Is there a feature in Maya that expands this box to allow the user to view the entire list?

Thank you.

Hi!

As far as I know there isn't a feature that allows you to scroll or expand this part of the UI.

But you can always use the Hypershade to assign your shaders, the Hypershade UI is also way more customizable to fit your needs.

Just open the hypershade window (Windows -> Rendering Editors -> Hypershade). Select the object you want to assign a shader in the viewport. In the Hypershades "browser" Window rightclick the shader you need and use "assign to selection"

You can also grab and undock the Browser window and minimize the rest of the hypershade so the viewport stays accessible.

I hope it helps!

Hello

Yes, I was aware that the Hypershade can be used but I was also scratching my head regarding the original method.

Thanks for your help though.
