3ds import problem in maya 2014

Hi,

i instaled maya bonustools 2014, in plugin manager there is no .3ds importer option 

how can i get this..  After Installation, i restarted my PC also

Please help me..

The 3ds plugin only appears in the 2015 and 2016 Bonus Tools plugin folders, so it's probably not compatible with Maya 2014.

it was removed with the 2014 release of the bonus tools since 3ds is a quite crappy format for file transfer. but since there seem to be people really using it autodesk put it back in 2015 BT and above and offer a download for 2014.
