[ OS X ] How Do You: Completely Uninstall and How Do You Update to 2017?

Hi. The Maya LT documentation says, you uninstall Maya LT by just dragging to the thrash but that leaves hidden files behind and only removes the main app. How can it completely be uninstalled, all the files (except the documents/projects created by it) associated with it?

Also, how do you update Maya LT 2016 to 2017? Is there an update feature like in the Windows version?

Hi @Anonymous, 

Kindly try out the information here, although this is showing for Maya 2016, this should also apply to Maya LT 2016. 

Uninstall Maya from a Mac OS

With regard to updating Maya LT 2016 to Maya LT 2017, you will need to download the installer from your Autodesk Account and use that to install the software. There is no available option for direct update of 2016 to 2017.
