Driven keys on Aux/Pivot effectors

I'm trying to create an idle animation for my character. My character is from iClone so its fully pre-rigged. However, there are no rig controls when I import it into Maya LT. I'm using the Create Control Rig option in Maya and its working fine for the animation except one thing.

The finger effectors have to be animated one at a time to do finger curls and spreads. As you know this is tedious and driven keys is an excellent option here to handle fingers. The problem is Set Driven keys don't work on Aux effectors/Pivot Effectors. I tried setting up driven keys on the finger bone directly and it works but as soon as in click on Create Control Rig, Aux effects are created and I'm losing all the driven keys. Setting driven keys on Aux effectors don't work.

Am I missing something here? Do driven keys work on Aux effectors?
Is there an alternative to get finger curls on the human ik rig?

Hi @duke.francis

Thanks for posting! This is an interesting question. Any chance you could share your scene file with me for further testing? You can upload it here as a .zip file, or send it to me in a private message if you would prefer to keep the file info private (it will not be shared in any capacity, as we have strict internal NDA's for support).

Also, if you are following a tutorial or specific steps I could use to recreate the scenario, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again for being a part of our community! I look forward to your reply.

I found a workaround for this issue.

Setting driven keys on the finger tip controls don't work.

Maya Aux.PNG

Instead set driven keys on this.

Maya Aux 2.PNG

This solved the issue for me.
