just wondering

Sorry if you've seen this 'topic' before.

Why no personal access to Maya or 3ds max with appropriate license restrictions.

Both well recognised as the paths to illuminating the masses (would mention 'Blender' if it wasn't so free).

There is a lot of talent out there that seems to slip on by because their education department "can barely afford the upkeep of the building that they attend for educational training" or any other moan you want to put..their life paths just don't walk the same streets..etc. That includes 'inclusion, exclusion and the upcoming 'clusification'.

Surely it is better to introduce the future to a learning path that benefits all, that they grow up listening to peers talking about how great they are with Maya(software), sharing their recent 'you can do this too', than to wait in the hope that they might just wander this way?

PS, I could have most probably posted this in the wrong place and I did look for duplicates.

Hey @Anonymous - are you asking about a free learning edition of Maya? For people who are not at a school or students, this is definitely a gap we understand.  For students and schools Autodesk offers free software that you can use for three years after you graduate.  More details here: https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/featured

Or have I misunderstood your request?   If this is something you wish to be voted on as an idea, I reccomend updating the subject to reflect the result you want as an offering.

Thanks!

As Laurence mentions, we do offer student versions for free.  Students are able to use the software for up to 3 years as well.

Hope that helps!
