Eye button in Outliner for show/hide in viewport/render

Eye button in Outliner for show/hide in viewport/render

There is much improvement to be done at the outliner but this is indeed something minor with immediately significant impact.

Personally I don’t think render configuration  options belong in the outliner but a quick visibility toggle might be worth the real estate.

3dsMax has way better functionality to sort the outliner. Also here exist already similar requests for sorting and grouping.

The messy outliner is the small sister of the messy hypershade resp. node graph.

Autodesk should give smart UI functions much more priority.

I disagree. Hidden elements are already dimmed from bright text to darker text. Extra UI icons seem like unnecessary overhead/clutter.

the visibility icon is pretty standard to start with. You cannot talk about clutter because: One this is sooo standard and two there aren't other control icons there like...again...in most software to form or add to a clutter. There is also enough space at disposal because...there are any control icons....like in most of the softwares

Absolutely need the vis icon in Outliner.  This is common in apps like Blender, C4D and even Mudbox.  It would be small but powerful addition to outliner.

Ziethriel4 -  the icon is not just to indicate visibility state, it is to toggle vis on item

I know it is old, but it would be huge for me…

I hate starching my fingers for ctrl+h/shif+h

And my mouse pointer is already there for selecting the object I want to hide...
