Hi,
Maya has been around for a long long time now. While using Maya on Linux there is an option to save and force-crash your file incase it freezes but there is no such option for Windows users, which is a real shame!! A lot of artists lose important work if they don't happen to save it close to the freeze! And as there is no way of knowing when Maya is about to freeze it's even more frustrating when you're engrossed in your work and forget about saving your file and then Maya decides to freeze.
So in conclusion, it would be great if you guys over at Autodesk could come up with a script or something.. ANYTHING!!! that can help us Windows users to save our files before force-closing Maya in case it freezes!
Hope you'll come up with a solution soon. Its been far too long now!
