XGen - Styling question

Hi,

 

I'm new in XGen, but I like it and I intend to learn it. I'd like to make a french wig. I have some styling problem, that the guides not exactly follow the hair. Some example:

So if we have different long of hair, then worth use new description? For ponytail? Need cut the ponytail or better use 2 description (top and lower side)?

This is also strange: (only primitives in the view OFF, no modifier)

When delete the second guide, hair spread out, but why?

How can I control the the thickness? Thickness is random?

Looks like if "clumping - guide - on" region map (big resolution) not work correctly

The hair with region control looks like too flat, how possible make big thick waves?
