XGen fur is shown on only one object when doing multiple reference

Hi all,

I made a furry ball and reference it multiple times in a scene. I noticed that once I close the scene file and reopen it, only one sphere shows XGen fur (not just in viewport but also in rendering). I have to do reload reference to get my furry balls back. I wonder if it's a bug or it's an intentional design. How to make XGen go well with multiple reference scenario ?

Attached image shows the way I create fur and the Maya file is the furry ball source I use for reference (Maya 2022).

Hi,

This is a known bug that was fixed in Maya 2023.2.

As you've discovered the workaround is to reload the reference.
