Vray for Maya

Hello, I am just wondering if there are any comprehensive guides for Vray for Maya (not 3dsmax)? Like, which of the default materials are best for emulating fabric, glass, plastic, wood .etc. and ideally which settings are ideal for accomplishing that. Though I'd be happy with just which materials are best for what, or even just a list of what each of the default materials are intended for.

Because it's a tad confusing when it comes to choosing them, as (for example) there's even two different materials for hair, but then most don't actually list what their use is.  But ya, preferably any guide that is Maya specific, that way I don't have to translate them across softwares.

Thx.

I wasn't necessarily asking AD, but the community in general which also uses Vray. I should have also stated, I have only an educational license with Maya, so unlike many of it's users, I'm not filthy stinking rich, in-fact, I'm currently on disability.

So with that said, only free resources would be helpful, thank you.
