Viewport Stuck when any other window open

Hi guys, I've been getting a very annoying issue and can't seem to find any info on it.

When I open up Maya, the viewport literally doesn't update. If I close all my tabs, such as outliner and attribute editor (so that my screen only has viewport open), then it works. If I, let's say, open up the outliner, the viewport becomes unresponsive. Oddly enough, I can see the info bar on the bottom left saying stuff like 'Rotation' when I rotate the camera, and if I then close the outliner again, I can see that my camera has indeed rotated. So it 'works' but I cannot see it unless I have closed all my tabs. 
I have tried deleting preferences, it did not help. It MIGHT (cannot confirm this 100%) have something to do with the latest nVidia drivers, that's the only thing I can think of when it just started out of nowhere after using Maya for over a year.

Hi @markoleppanenvfx and welcome to the community!

Like you guessed, this is most likely a GPU issue. What GPU are you using and is the driver version the same as our certified hardware list?

You can find our certified hardware list here!

If it is not the same, you'll want to uninstall your current GPU driver and install the certified version then launch Maya again.
