Viewport not using dedicated gpu

My dedicated GPU does not do anything when working in the viewports. It does function while rendering. It's probably a problem with my CPU and its integrated gpu. But im still not sure. Does anybody know more about dedicated GPU's not supporting maya automatically?

Hello @DaanDMC,

thanks for posting this question. In case that the Intel Onboard GPU is still active when you are working in Maya (not rendering), you can try to enable the dedicated Nvidia GPU in the Nvidia Control panel. Please see the steps in this article: How to configure Autodesk software to use high performance graphics.

You can also check the Maya Output Window after starting Maya, if the correct graphic card is displayed. On my machine it looks like this:

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Patrick
