Unbaking baked Hair

Hi 

 

I am strugling with an issue. for my project i use xGen hairs which i export as alembic .abc file than using it in Unreal engine. Lately i brought some hair examples in .abc file formats which i have to modify to fit on my character. My qestion is there a way to import the .abc file back to maya and convert it back to xGen description, or to curves ? So far if i am importing the .abc file it creates a BakedHair mesh but i cant find a way to convert that to anything which can be used as xgen guides. 

 

Heres a screenshot about what i am getting so far.. so my question is would that be possible to convert this asset to curves or anything els that can be used with xGen?
