Trouble with normals in unity

I have this character from Character Creator 4 in maya to delete the scalp which was causing rendering issues with the hair in unity. When trying to export using the regular FBX exporter the skinning disappears. The game exporter is what I've been using to get the rigging out but now I'm having this render issue.   This is an empty scene with only other characters and a plane. No lights. I basically need her to look like the one in green that came straight from CC4. It looks to be some sort of vertex normal issue but I can't figure what is doing it. Thanks in advance
