Hi everyone,

Is there any way to give Maya this render location:

1. Go one or two levels up from the project.

2. Find/Create a folder called RENDER

3. In that folder find/create a folder called whatever the name of the scene is and use that as your render output.

Not sure if this would be too tricky to do. Thanks in advance!

In render layers, the file path can be set to  as an override. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dSICs-Qbo8  But the easiest way is in your render settings you can put any path you want. If you right click in the "file name prefix" it will give you a menu that will add tokens to your path. Like adding <Scene> to your file path will give the folder or file the scene name. ie "C:\Users\yourName\Documents\maya\<Scene>\images" will name the folder and C:\Users\yourName\Documents\maya\<Scene>_images will name the images
