Right-click Menu ERROR on curves

Hi

After recent update, I got Error shows that //Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2017/scripts/startup/uiRes.mel line 107: displayString identifier "m_dagMenuProc.kEditUVModeWarn" does not exist. does not exist.

 

When right-clicking the menu and try to edit the curves. Please help.

You can try deleting your settings/preferences.

Hi,

The issue still not been fixed after I reset Maya to default by delete prefs.

Hi @Zivyang

 

It looks like something happened with your mel script that is linked to the menu when you right click.

 

There was a similar issue in this thread here but if that does not work you may want to do a clean uninstall and reinstall.

 

Steps to do a proper clean uninstall can be found here.

This is some pretty lazy tech support here...

 

Really?

 

"Delete your prefs!"

 

"Uninstall, reinstall!"

 

What's next, Uninstall windows, and reinstall it? Just get a new computer? How about switching to 3D Max?

 

Do I get a cookie now for providing these wonderful helpful tips?

 

In any case, you can do the edits if you just do everything through the menus.. which is really time consuming and defeats the purpose of the hot wheel.

 

C'mon Autodesk, get your stuff together. These kind of bugs are unacceptable - Everybody at my workplace has this bug specifically.
