Render normal from shader

I have a piece of geometry that has a layered normal map and I am trying to render a texture of the combined normal map with the Render Selection to Texture utility from arnold. Cant seem to get it to work. I am looking to render the normal map, not bake from a low to high, just the normal information from the shader to the UVS on the model. Any ideas on how to approach this?

In Rendering menu:

Lighting/Shading > Transfer Maps

the transfer maps is for baking isn't it? Im not looking to bake anything just trying to get a normal map tangent created from a layered shader with different bump and normals using the render to texture feature in arnold.
