Question, how i can make edge loops on multiple faces simultaneously ?

So im pretty new to maya and i recently wanted to make Corrugated Metal for my game i found a video on youtube how some one made it but he used 3dmax what wasn't a problem for me til he made some edge loops on diferent faces simultaneously. (see link below) i searced the whole internet for the solution but i didn't found anything useful so i ask you guys here how i could do this (sorry if somthing isn't spellt right english isn't my first language)

Use Edge Loop Tool and adjust Tool Settings to your needs.

there is only a option for multiple edge loops on One face but i can't make multiple edges on multiple faces in one run (i could make it manual but it would take a lot of time)

Hi!

There is no tool in Maya that does this in one step, so you have 2 options:

A)

1. Select Faces: Edit Mesh -> Add Divisions

2. Delete unnecessary edges afterwards

B)

Use scripting
