That is my Xgen...I don't know why , but as defult the primitives are so thick....

and when i change the width to 0.08... it looks like that:

And I have to change the width to 0.005, so that it looks like those hair with 0,08 width in the toturials.

So is the density.....with the density 6568.58 i get thoes few hairs... 🙂 It's strange....right?

and with Guide it looks like that:

XGen is sensitive to the size of the objects. As the base unit in XGen is cm, if your model is very small, you need a high density (Primitives per Unit Area) to get coverage. Width and Length are also measured in cm and again, if your model is small then the default width will seem to be high.

Changing the width of the guides (which you can do in by selecting them and using the Attribute Spreadsheet) will not change the look of the primitives as the guide width is only a viewport display setting.

The scale of the model can have effects elsewhere as well as with very small objects need a much higher map resolution. The default TPU of 5.0 (Texels Per Unit area) of the control maps (Clump, region etc, etc) might not be enough on small meshes, so raising it and regenerating maps will help.

Cheers

Is there a way to set the default guide width when created? Adding guides come in super thin and later have to be resized to be visible on the screen. I believe they come in at 0.1, whereas 1 would be favourable.

Yes, but how i can reduce the widht of the guides in order to operate better in small parts?
