Putting video in a maya scene

I was wondering if it is possible to put video clips in a maya scene. I want to put video of my girlfriend looking around in the drivers seat of a car I modelled

You absolutely can do that.  Here's some step by step instructions:

1. Create a plane, roughly the size of your girlfriend in the car seat.  You can bend it to fit the seat if you want.
2. Assign a new Lambert Material to the plane.
3. In the Attribute Editor's Lambert node, click the button next to Color.  Choose "Movie" from the window that appears.
4. In the Attribute Editor's Movie node, click the folder icon and load the video you want.
5. Make sure "Use Image Sequence" is checked and that you are in textured display mode.
6. Adjust the size of the plane as necessary.
7. *Optional* Parent the plane to the car (this is assuming you want it to move with the car).
