They look like Edit Points on the Nurbs curve. Try going to the menu Display>NURBS and click on the Edit Points to see if that turns them off. I think you have to select each curve and turn them off. It might be turned on in your preferences to show the Edit Points. Go to preferences and under NURBS, see if it's turned on.
