So, no description of what the problem is, I'm just going to make guesses based on what you uploaded.
Doesn't look like you have any issues with your normal map so I'm not going to comment on that.
Your issue seems to be some gaps in your character's head uv's. And from what it looks like his head uvs are not as uniform as one would like. Have you tried to planar map the problem faces and get them to show up in your uv grid? Or even redo the uvs completely to get a better result? At what point did those faces disconnect?
let me know
I could not describe the problem, since I am using the forum for the first time.
The main problem is that after I did the unwrapping, I baked the normal map in marmoset. The baking result looks terrible and mysterious. The solution was found. I opened maya - UV set editor, and there were as many as 3 maps! I removed the extra cards. I baked the normal map again and everything worked out.
Thank you very much for your response!!!That would certainly be your problem.
I never use marmoset. But I don’t believe it creates new UV sets.
Id just suggest being careful with unmapping. Avoid uv sets as much as possible, they are a old way of working and pretty useless now days
Glad you solved it!
