Hi @MRENOUX and welcome to the community!

Are your tablet drivers up to date?

Also, have you checked your brush settings in Maya to make sure they're set up to properly react to pen sensitivity?

Finally what tools is this specifically happening with and what version of Maya are you on?

Please let me know if anything changes!

Thanks for the answers. Problem has occur for every version of maya, now
using the 2018.3
Yes driver are up to date as always, problem was also with the wacom, and
what brush setting are you talking about? I'm doing sculpting and painting
skin weight and it just doesn't react to pen pressure.

Hi @MRENOUX

When you go to use a tool like the Sculpt Tool for example, if you click the little option box next to it there's an option to toggle Stylus settings which has the min strength setting. There's also the falloff settings that may be affecting your pen sensitivity.

By default the min strength is set to 0 so you should see a difference with your sensitivity but it's possible by tweaking it a bit you may notice a difference.

Let me know if anything changes!

Ok thanks for that answer, yes this I knew already and tested it and it
makes no difference.
I did everything, with fresh pref too, no chance. nothing works i have pen
pressure off in maya always and I don't understand why it is only in Maya
as the pen pressure works perfectly elsewhere.

Hi @MRENOUX

Hmm ok.

By chance, do you have other programs like Photoshop or Mudbox open while working in Maya?

If so, can you try closing them all so only Maya is open and then see if the pressure works?

If that doesn't help, you can try opening your tablet settings where you can find the windows freehand under the calibrate tab at the bottom.

Try to activate or deactivate this option. You may need to restart Maya to see any changes.

(Note: I know this setting is available for Wacoms but I'm not 100% sure if it is for Huion)

To get sensitivity for my intuos pro (2015/16 model) I had to do the opposite that you'd usually do for photoshop:

Enable "Use Windows Ink", unfortunately a "maya.exe" app profile didn't work.. so I set it as global ("All Other") and disabled it for the rest of the tools I use.

On the intuos pro (2017 model) however it works out of the box with having "Use Windows Ink" globally off (All Others profile, no special maya-profile).

Can't talk about the Cintiq, as mayas graph editor doesn't work on it when dragging a floating graph-editor on it.. (at least for mixed HD/UHD multi-screen setups).. and that's the only feature I would love to be able to edit from the cintiq separately from the rest of the ui.

ps: sometimes the custom setting-mappings for different pens don't work as expected.. deleting the pen and re-register it (delete it by selecting the pen with a mouse, then move the pen onto... whatever wacom product you use) helps in such cases

Hi @MRENOUX

Hmm ok.

Can you try disabling Multi Touch gestures in Mayas settings?

Thanks for taking some news, no luck with the setting off, i don't get it.
I'm in touch with huion to see if it could come from the drivers, but so
far no luck, since it works everywhere else.

Hi @MRENOUX

Hmmm this is tough.

Out of curiosity, do you still have the Wacom tablet to test with or do you only have the Huion now?

only have the Huion, I did a complete re-install of windows and all
programs and the problem is still there, very strange.

Hi @MRENOUX

Ah ok. In that case it's possibly a problem with Maya and/or specifically the Huion tablet as I'm not noticing this issue with my Intuos tablet.

I've gone ahead and logged this with our devs so they can look into the issue further.

Bumping this, I seem to have the same issue. I am using the Huion H610PRO with the most recent drivers I could find that work with it, which is 12.3.7. The newer versions of the drivers made for the newer tablets do not work for this one at all. The pressure works fine in other programs such as Substance Painter, Sketchbook, and Photoshop, but even after trying all that has been suggested in this thread the problem persists. I have also tried with the "Support TabletPC" option checked and unchecked.

I know this is far out of the time for replies but I have a solution that has worked for me.

I have a wacom tablet myself and the solution I had was to turn the tablet on before you open Maya.  The pressure sensitivity issue you had should be resolved if you do what I had done.
