Pan tool not working with Wacom intuos pro stylus

So, I've been struggling to find a solution to my current situation for over a month now and still haven't found anything. I typically work with my Wacom Intuos Pro but I've hit a very frustrating wall. Basically, whenever I try to pan using the cmd+mmb command, it doesn't work. I've made sure my stylus buttons are set to the right command, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the drivers on my Wacom and Maya itself, and I even went so far as to buy a brand new tablet thinking that would fix the problem but all that accomplished was the draining of my bank account and added confusion. A regular mouse works just fine but I'm so used to my tablet, it slows my workflow down 100x. Since neither tablet worked, I'm assuming the problem lies in Maya's court. Jesus Lord, please let there be someone that can help 😑

I am adding a complaint to this thread as well.

I have the exact same problem.

At first, I thought it was the Grip or Art Pen, but it works with ALL other applications.

It may be that I won't have this problem if I try getting an older copy/download of Maya (say Maya 2014, which I used to have, and it worked fine).

But now I have Maya 2016, and it isn't working at all (The Pan/Track function).

When I depress the MMB/Alt, I see the cross-arrows indicating the Pan/Track function activates, but then the cross immediately disappears.

Since I see that this issue has not been resolved within the last Month (and I have been having it at least that long) I am going to open a support ticket on the issue.

I worked with Wacom for a solid two weeks to figure out what's going on and we actually fixed it. I guess the newest drivers for the tablet aren't compatible somehow. Try uninstalling the drivers through the driver utility, restart your computer with everything disconnected, go to http://cdn.wacom.com/u/productsupport/drivers/mac/professional/WacomTablet_6.3.15-3.dmg download and install those drivers instead. It worked for me, hopefully this solves your problem too (:
