outliner colors

Hello,
I have alot of object in my scene and I am trying to have different colors assigned to different objects in the outliner for a better and quicker navigation. I learned that this can be done buy selecting a color in the transforms attributes (Use Outliner color) but it only does this with one object at a time which is really not efficient. Now I can use the attribute spread sheet editor but I cant see the color there which is not intuitive.

So is there a way to batch select objects in the outliner and simply give them a color (without using a plugin)?

Yeah I have seen that but I was just trying to find something native from within Maya.

There’s no feature like that in Maya at this point.
