Node States Options: HasNoEffect or Blocking, seem never to work

Hello,

I am terribly missing in the Hypershade an possibility to deactivate Nodes (which is for example possible in Nuke with pressing "D").

So I have seen the options "HasNoEffect" and "Blocking".

But whatever I am trying, they never change anything…

Thanks for assistance…

Hi!

It works, but sadly this seems not to be supported with all nodes.

For example try Triangulate or Extrude and set Node State to "HasNoEffect", the feature works correct here.

If you find a node that does not work correct with this feature,

Please report it to Autodesk.
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

Of course, sometimes it's also not possible to simply disable the effect.

Thanks for reply...

How about to enable it for shading networks in future versions? (as already known from Nuke workflows)

Especially in situations, where only one input connection and one output connection of the same kind exists, it can't be any problem to solve this.

And this is so basic and would save so much time with disconnecting and reconnecting.
