No skinning found to apply to the combined mesh.

Hi,

I am Sazzad Mannan Rifat. I am student and i have interest in 3d modeling. Recently i installed student edition of Maya software.I learned several things.But when i tried to apply combine function of mesh,it showing "No skinning found to apply to the combined mesh" this error.Can anyone tell me what this error for? I just took two new polygon cube and wanted to combine them.

It is hard to say without any pictures or scene to look at, but It looks like you are using polyUniteSkinned, that is meant to be used for skinned meshes. You should use polyUnite.

Please select both meshes and type on the command line (small box the the right bottom, under the time slider, make sure that is set as MEL) :

polyUnite

it is because you have select this option, turn it off, and try again
