Hello, I would like to report something really weird and awful that just happened.
I'm using Maya 2016. So I finished one model, you could say the most "complex" or biggest one I've done thus far (I just started to use Maya this year). I spent quite some time doing it and when I finally finished I saved it.
The next day, I opened the model... or at least I TRIED to. When it was at 100% of loading, this happened:
It got stuck on the "Outputting Boolean Result" stage of opening. (Message at the left side of the screen)
And on the right side, it said:
// Warning: line 1789: The default image may not be modified. Use the -i/image flag instead.
Now, I thought that this was a weird inconvenience, but I didn't really care about it, so I went to do some other things until it opened.
Well I came back, and it was still on that. I came to the conclusion that Maya somehow froze, but the thing is, I couldn't do anything! When Maya opens files it becomes unclickable. Every option, including the minimize, maximize and close buttons of the window itself become unselectable. That's normal, it happens everytime. So since it got stuck on the loading operation, I can't do anything about it but close the program with Task Manager, which works, telling me that Maya isn't responding, but Maya closes right away when choosing "End Task".
I believe either the Boolean or the image problem has been asked here separately, but I think this case is pretty unique, since first, it has BOTH of them; second, the file can't be opened and I can't do anything; and third, it only happens with this particular model. The other models I have can be opened perfectly, and I really have no idea what's causing this. Is it the model number of polygons? It can't be since there are MUCH bigger models out there with a considerably larger amount of polygons. Is it my video/graphics card or something? Does it have something to do with Maya settings and/or preferences?
Please, I could really, really use some help. Deadline is tomorrow, so I'd greatly appreciate if you could help me as fast as you can.
