Solved! Go to Solution.
here is prof of my project i will warn you that when you open it, it will look empty.
please tell me the file is there?
My file is not letting me upload, is there some way you can be able to let me share the screen so you can take a look at it that way?
i hope this works
Hi!
This file is empty, it does not contain any content other than the default cameras, so it's just an empty scene.
yes i do know that, maya messed up my hard work. I posted prof of my hard work on my rocket. is there some way to regain all that hard work?
the last time i was able to successfully open my file was 11/18/21. so it is just strange how maya is acting up now. i appreciate all the help i could get.
All i know that according to my code, the swatches file is messed up, and instead of it erasing just the color swatches, it erased everything. which is odd and doesn't make sense.
Hi!
The provided scene is just a default scene like when using File -> New Scene.
You maybe have overridden your previous file with a new scene, so there is no data you can recover.
Please use a backup or a previous saved version of your scene.
To prevent data loss like this:
1. Do incremental saves (as often as suitable) and from time to time save or export in an additional format (like FBX or OBJ).
2. Delete history if not needed anymore (on individual or all objects).
3. Create backups.
Sadly that is not what happened, the script should say what is the problem and then fix it within the script. according to the code, there is something wrong with the swatches in aistandardsurface where is deleted the whole scene. Meaning: maya did this by it's self. sadly i don't have any previous copys. thanks for the advice.
Hi!
I am not sure what script you are talking about.
All values in the scene are at default values, even if something had removed the objects and all materials, than at least the camera values would have been kept. I also doubt Maya did this on it's own.
If you do not have any other files you have to start from scratch, there is no other option.
