You will need to change your UV's in the UV editor. The seam placement is where you decided  to make your UV cuts. If you are unfamiliar with the process I'm pretty sure there are a number of videos Autodesk has put up about on YouTube. If they don't, just search for "Maya UV editing" and that should result in several video links. Maya has one of the best UV editing tools of all the major 3D applications. It has a large tool set for doing exactly what you need to do.

If you can't or don't want to change the UV's Substance Painter has the ability to paint across seams but it doesn't work well with procedural textures or displacement or height maps. Your best bet would be to correct the problem where it begins and that's the UV's

There is really no link to post. If you paint in the 3D viewport Substance will paint across the seams automatically.

I will however reiterate the correct way to do it would be to fix the UV's so the seams can be hidden better. An additional problem you will have with bad UV's is inconsistent texel density. This can lead to a problem I demonstrated in this image. Sure it has painted across the seams but the texel density is grossly inconsistent. You can see as the stroke crosses the seam you get a different appearance not because it's a seam but because the difference in texel density.
