Maya scene is blocked to 98%

Hello Everyone. 

 

Since 3 days, i am confronted to a big probleme. 

Some maya scene are bloked to 98% to open. 

They don't want to open and, i don't have any message from maya to tell me that maya is unable to open my scene... 

 

Anybody can help me ?

It usually means, that the file was incompletely written, corrupted, therefore, a data loss.

If it is a MA, open it with some notepad, and scroll to the very bottom.. it should end with // End of <filename>.ma If so, then the file is likely ok, and there are some issues with file contents, which would be harder to understand unless you dig MEL.

Otherwise, you just select all the empty lines + non-empty portion till the position, where you encounter first semicolon (;), excludingly. Delete all the selection and save edited file with different name. Try to open again, if still hangs, then you probably should delete even more lines.

Can you find the faulty scene in your project? Use Explorer/Finder.

Once found, if the scene is MA file, you are able to edit it in the text editor, do it better in some dedicated programming tool, like Visual Studio Code or in something very basic, like Notepad, which doesn't add rich text elements to the text.
