Maya Lighting Issue

I am trying to light a scene (a bedroom), and I am using Arnold. I used the debug shading as Lighting to light the scene in grey scale and it comes out alright but the image looks dark when applying textures to it. The highlight part is getting blown out of proportion and the dark parts are just too dark, including the midrange. The texture files I use their colour space is sRGB but I also noticed https://vidmate.onl/ the lighting looks better with RAW format for the cooler nodes but then the colour is washed out. I have trying to fix this for almost 1 week now and having a difficult time with it. Is there something wrong with maya's default colour management which I don't know about?
