Maya for modding

I would like to use the student version of Maya to 3D model stuff for use in a mod for Fallout 4 and to also upload it on nexus mods (non-profit of course). Am i allowed to that?

Also (as unlikely as it is) if my mod was used in a monetized YouTube video, what would happen? would the video get taken down or something?

No. Nexus Mods is an ad supported site, which means someone makes money off of the free stuff posted there. That would constitute commercial use of your work. Same with Youtube.
