Maya files won't be relative path even after I set project

Hello. I am using Maya 2023 and I am encountering a weird issue about saving stuff as relative paths. Usually, when setting a project, Maya automatically saves the file as a relative path; on my end, however, Maya always creates an absolute file path, so whenever I open the file on another computer, even after I set the project, it won't work. All my textures are in the sourceimage folder and all my Maya files are inside the scene folder. This problem is really making my life harder since I have no way to drop the stuff into a render farm.

Attached is a maya file that has the problem. Tho, I dunno if it will help since I didn't upload the project folder. The original project is too large for upload.

Thanks!
