Maya 2027 lookdevX error

Hi all,

I receive the following error when I try to load the lookdevx plugin.

// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2027/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 316: Unable to dynamically load : C:/Program Files/Autodesk/LookdevX/Maya/2027/2.0.0/plug-ins/LookdevXMaya.mll.

I have tried loading and unloading USD first. No luck. I tried repairing mt maya install. Again no luck. I also adjusted my env variables to read the plugin, no luck there either. Any thoughts on what to do there would be greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Were you able to resolve the issue, or do you still need a hand? We would like to try to help if anything’s still unclear or unresolved.

Hi Rosie,

I did figure things out. Thanks for checking back. It looks like a conflict with the redshift plugin from Maxon. Redshift also uses USD and it installs a version which is running behind the version installed with Maya that lookdevX is using. Hopefully Maxon will update redshift soon. Removing redshift from the Maya.env file allows Maya to properly load USD and lookdevX.
