Maya 2020 -Xgen Expression Editor Not Launching - Opening - Displaying - Working

Hello,

I am trying to use the Xgen Expression Editor in Maya 2020 to modify some ptex maps and randomize parameters to scatter foliage but the Editor never opens for any of the Xgen parameters that have it.

Is this a bug, is there a workaround for this issue in the meantime?

I tried to find the MEL code that would show when hitting a command, but there is nothing I could find.  It seems other people have reported this issue in 2020 and in earlier versions a well.

This is a bug in Maya 2020.

Please report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.
In Maya main menu:
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

Hi Nelson, I'm also getting the same issues with Xgen in Maya 2020. Was wondering if you had eta on the Maya update to fix the issue or if you know any work around in the meantime?

A colleague showed me that I could manually open the .xgen file and add the expressions there but for the life of me I can't locate the .xgen file and only see connectivity.xgc file.
